Message This gives me more room when putting the engine in (I can turn/twist it more to get it in place, passenger side dp sits pretty close to the frame rail) and I guess helps a tad with the lining up tranny on the side. Also makes it easier to install the starter and such. Passenger side dp is cake to install later after tranny is in place. With the battery out you can reach the top bolts and the bottom can be put on from under the car.

This is how I do it everytime, just my personal preference.
